1.In the Leading Talent Project organized by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), Ministry of Commerce and All China Lawyers Association, Judy was selected as “a leading international lawyer” and to attend the training program with honor for half a month in Beijing. In the program stood out as the elite lawyer with other 35 lawyers and was sent to Germany for foreign affairs training at government expense.
2. On November 2016, All China Lawyers Association organized the 4th leading talent training programme, Judy Lin was elected as Leading Talent again and was sent to participate the training abroad.

And she gave a speech as the only Chinese maritime lawyer representative. She was crowned as the speaker with the longest and loudest applause and won the honorable distinctions for China and Asia.
16. From 2007 to 2008, she studied and worked at Standard, North of England Britannia, UK P&I Clubs and Holman, Fenwick & William Law Firm successively. During this period, she visited other P & I Clubs at the international P & I groups and established good cooperation relationships with them.
Major Achievements concerning Foreign affairs:
In 2016, Judy Lin was appointed as the director of the Belt and Road Commission of Guangzhou Lawyers Association, and vice-director of International Business Committee of Guangdong Lawyers Association; in 2017, she was appointed the group leader of the Belt and Road Legal research center service group of Guangdong Lawyers Association and vice chairman of the Overseas Returnees Liaison Club of Guangzhou Lawyers Association. Her major achievements concerning foreign affairs are as follow:
1. In charge of the research on ASEAN maritime administration laws entrusted by the Ministry of Transport
In 2017 she started to take in charge of the research on ASEAN maritime administration laws entrusted by the Ministry of Transport. This is the first time the Belt and Road Commission of Guangzhou Lawyers Association signed a paid cooperation agreement with other unit (Guangdong Maritime Safety Administration). Judy led the team to Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam for research. Information collection and translation was completed and organized. The earlier-stage work was highly recognized by leaders of Guangdong MSA and Guangdong Lawyers Association. This project promotes and pushes the reform and improvement of Chinese maritime administration system. It is of great significance.
2. Participating the compilation of the Belt and Road research reports of All China Lawyers Association
She took an active part in the translation and compilation of two sectors respectively about Russia and Argentina of the Legal Environment Report of the Belt and Road Countries. Of which the Russia report has successfully published and received favorable comments from the Ministry of Justice and among legal industry. It became a highlight in all the works accomplished by All China Lawyers Association in 2017; and received praises in the Belt and Road projects summary conference held by All China Lawyers Association in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The translation and compilation of sector Argentina legal environment for investment in 2018 has successfully accomplished.
3. Participating in the project of Legal Service and Guidance upon Construction of the Belt and Road by Guangdong Lawyers Association.
Judy took an active part in writing the first draft of the Legal Service and Guidance upon Construction of the Belt and Road by Guangdong Lawyers Association. This is the first guidance in China concerning the lawyer service for construction of the Belt and Road. The first draft has completed.
4. Hosting the seminar series of investment environment in countries along the Belt and Road (which has become a branded event of Guangdong Lawyers Association and Guangdong Lawyers Association).
Under the guidance and support of Deputy Director General Liang Zhen from Guangdong Provincial Department of Justice and leaders from Guangdong Lawyers Association and Guangzhou Lawyers Association, Judy Lin undertook the first, third and fourth sessions of the Belt and Road seminar series—Thailand, SMP (Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines) and Netherland. And will hosted the Hong Kong session in 10 July. The series is sharing sessions for laws, policies and practice regarding investment at home and abroad. It helps enterprises to have a deep insight of legal risk when investing abroad. It enhances the cooperation between legal industry among countries along the Belt and Road. In the meantime, it builds a platform for connection of enterpriser and lawyers, promoting the solution of investment issues when Chinese enterprises “goes global”. The series has great influence on an international scale.
5. Successfully hosted series events and participated in relevant review.
Judy successfully hosted the seminar of position and function of lawyers under the Belt and Road initiative and was praised by leaders of lawyers association. She also undertook the seminar of foreign trade and intellectual property laws under the Belt and Road initiative and received favorable comments from all circles of the society. And she also finished the review of first elite lawyers and law firms dealing with foreign affairs—the Leading Talent by Guangdong Lawyers Association.
6. On 27 May 2018, as one of the initiator(vice-chairman) of the Guangzhou Shipping Law Research Center (Shipping Law Research Center of Guangzhou Law Society) and the vice-chairman of Shipping Law Research Center of Guangdong Law Society, Judy participated the inaugural meeting and the seminar of the Shipping Law Research Center of Guangzhou Law Society, Guangzhou Shipping Law Research Center and Shipping Law Research Center of Guangdong Law Society, contributing her share to the development of shipping law in China.

7. “Analysis of Mutual Recognition and Execution of Foreign-related Civil and Commercial Judgments” and “Seize Opportunities and Undertake Missions” was collected in the first volume of Chinese Lawyers in Action. Judy Lin became a member of the editorial board of the Chinese Lawyers in Action, a work collection of foreign-related leading lawyer talents in China published by the Law Press.
8. “The Design of Provisional Arbitral Measure System of Shanghai Free Trade Zone Arbitration Rules” and “Study on the Legal Issues Concerning the New Development of Ship Financing under the Free Trade Zone Policy” were published in the Work Collection for the Forum of Legal Service Innovation under the New Normal published by Guangzhou Lawyer’s Association and Guangzhou Lawyers Academy.
9. “Discussion on Burden of Proof for Cargo Damage Caused by Fires in Domestic Waterway Cargo Transportation” and “Study on the Legal Issues Concerning the New Development of Ship Financing under the Free Trade Zone Policy” were published in Calling Wisdom-Work Collection of Guangzhou Lawyer compiled by Guangzhou Lawyers Association and published by China Legal Publishing House.
10. “The Affirmation of the Nature and Loss of Claims of the Bureau of Ocean and Fisheries for Oil Pollution Damage to Fisheries Resources” was collected into the second volume of Chinese Lawyers in Action-A Collection of Typical Foreign-related Cases. Judy Lin was a member of the editorial board of the collection.
11. “Disputes over Contract of Costal Carriage of Goods” was collected into the Typical Maritime Case Collection complied by Guangdong Lawyers Association. Judy Lin was a member of the editorial board of the collection.
Media Exposure:
1. In 2016, Judy Lin was recommended as a remarkable representative of Chinese foreign-related maritime lawyers in the Dare to Dream-Elite Lawyers. “Keep challenging herself to be a model for foreign-related maritime lawyers in China.” She was so recommended in the book.
2. In 2017, Judy Lin accepted an exclusive interview with Nanfang Metropolis Daily as a representative of leading foreign-related lawyers in China. The report ran the full front page of the Daily.
3. In 2017, Judy Lin was covered in a report titled “Invited Legal Councils Convoy the Development of the Belt and Road” that ran a full page of sheet A7 of Yangcheng Evening News. The report also took a spot in the front-page lead of the paper. According to the report, Yangcheng Evening News initiated a large-scale overseas interview activity titled in “Getting Closer to the Belt and Road”. The paper invited the Belt and Road Research Center of Guangdong Lawyers Association and the Belt and Road Professional Committee of Guangzhou Lawyers Association to be cooperative units to guide the activity, and invited Xiao Shengfang, the chairman of the Guangdong Lawyers Association, to be the chief legal council and Judy Lin, the chair of the Belt and Road Professional Committee of Guangzhou Lawyers Association, to be the legal council of the activity. The activity aimed to provide legal service for enterprises in countries along the Belt and Road, and safeguard the development of the Belt and Road.
4.In 2018, as a pioneer lawyer for the Belt and Road in Guangdong, Judy Lin accepted an exclusive interview with the Fangyuan Magazine sponsored by Procuratorial Daily Press of the Supereme People's Procuratorate. In the report, she suggested that foreign-related lawyers interact with enterprises in an efficient manner.
5. Judy Lin was recommended as a representative of foreign-related legal talents in the Glory and Dream, a publication of Guangdong Enterprise Committee of China Association for Promoting Democracy.
6. On 28 June 2018, Judy Lin accepted an interview with Appointment with Dandan, the news focus column of Zhanjiang Daily, as a leading female lawyer for cross-border issues concerning the Belt and Road.
